the "real" truth to pitching

does anyone seriously think that it takes two aces to win a world series. i think that history has shown that winning the world series is more about teams that play all around ball, and have solid pitching that is in a groove at the time. world series past are filled with pitchers that were not spectacular but rather performed inn a spectacular manner. is Jeff Suppan or Jeff Weaver an ace? no but they sure looked like it in the 06 series. can you consider anyone on the 07 Red Sox behind Josh Beckett an ace? i dont think so. evereyone wants their team to have all of the quality pitching they can get but no one wants to realize the truth behind supply and demand. how many ace caliber pitcher are in the league today? it is a debatable question, but nonetheless the number is not equal to the number of teams. finances alone would inhibit teams from loading up on ace pitchers. if it wasnt the case the Yankees would have five aces right now, cause we all know king george is not afraid to spend a little money.
